MT. DAJTI, Tirane, Albania (MAR. '05)

Within 20 minutes I can be from the Stephen Center to 3/4 of the way (which is as far as you can go) up the mountain range that surrounds Tirane. From that level there is a great view of the Tirane valley and if time just right the sunsets are amazing. This particular day a good friend of mine who usually is studying in Berlin was visiting so we decided to get out of the city for a bit.

Unfortunately some people think they can make nature even more beautiful by spray painting profane sayings on rocks. I didn't think so, so I thought I'd spare you.

DURRES, Albania for lunch (MAR. '05)

When possible we will make a trip to the port city of Durres for Lunch. It is only about a 30 minute drive via the highway and allows for a nice relaxing time at the beach away from the busyness of Tirane. Of course the only lunch to have at the coast is seafood. Albania's coast offers amazing seafood and amazing prices! This day I travelled with Chris (director of the Stephen Center) and Jozi (hopefully you know who they both are by now because of all my newsletters and also the posts I have made on this site).
